KFC

The other day we had some KFC chicken.

Hadn't been into a KFC joint for some time.

Had a minor heart attack when I saw that ....

.... a piece of chicken costs $2.40 !

It'll be some time before I step into a KFC joint again.

Last year you could buy a whole "honey glazed" chicken from Cold Storage at $4. It's now $6....a 50% increase.
Cannot understand when they band around inflation numbers 3.5% to 4.5%...

inflation pegged at 4% is to keep the public calm, is'nt it. raw chicken drum stick used $1.10 each and now it is $1.60 or $1.80 each.

it is also true there are opportunists that raise prices for selfish gains. there is no guidelines to stop retailers from profiteering so nobody is wrong. we have to judge before we buy what is worth and what is not.

all in all we are going to expect the worse is yet to come with oil prices anticipated to rise further.

tighten belt or buy smart, i tell myself.

best regards/ken weeteck

I say, my friend,if you wanted to step into a KFC joint again, it's better to be soon, not some time.
If you waited too long, you'll get a massive heart attack when you go into the joint the next time.. . . .a piece of chicken costs $4.00.

To make your money's worth, suggest you chew the bones as well.
