New Singapore Passport

My passport has 6 months left before expiry. Therefore applying for a new one is mandatory so that we can leave our beautiful and safe shores once in a while. I discovered that we can get an Application Form from any Community Club/Centre.....it's that easy.

Also we do not need to go to the ICA to apply......we can send in the Application by post accompanied by a recent photo of course. I got a reply within 1 week asking me to go to ICA (next to Lavender MRT) to collect. This process was relatively easy as well. Just scan the barcode of our collection notification to get a queue number. The waiting time to process was approximately 30 mins......Voila a new Passport!.......fee?? $70 for 5 years validation.

However the new passport now does not bear the same number as our IC ...it's a new number.Wow ......technology is marvelous....

Lousey not to retain old number which is IC number. What's worse, you'll get ANOTHER new passport number each time you are issued a new passport. Bet you cannot remember new PP number when you are reporting its loss at Police station.
