Bike Ride 3 - Start point at ECP Area C
Bike Ride 3/2008 on 28 March 2008. Here's the starting point in East Coast Park Area C just off the C4 carpark.
Just before 9am, not very crowded this Friday morning. Nice site.
Here's a good-looking sign newly erected. What does it say?
Quite obvious that the obvious message isn't that obvious!
And the fish icon - what's the message ?
Ann and Suzanna, the owners of Lifestyle Recreation Pte Ltd, which will be starting business at their first of 9 stations along the PCN (eastern) had kindly loaned us 6 new bikes, complete with bottles of water.
This is their C4 station - a simple, neat, attractive, practical compact building that serves the purpose of providing bikes on rental to park visitors. And some snacks and refreshments.
However, it seems that NParks designers have objections to those wood slat covered columns. Huh? What do you think?
The bike station is filled with new bikes and tandem bikes all ready for business as soon as the Building & Construction Authority gives clearance.
Hope they sell cappucino too.
This interesting poster shows the PCN (eastern) circuit which is a 42 km ride.
The PCN consists of cycle tracks within a few parks, and these are linked by cycle tracks along roads and drainage reserves. The latter cycle tracks are the actual Park Connectors. Together, the park cycle tracks and the connectors make up the Park Connector Network.
Here are the new bikes all ready and waiting for us!
And here we are, waiting for HoiYing.
EngSeong and YewSan who did Bike Ride 2/2008 to Changi Village and back will be attempting the PCN circuit for the first time.
Freddie will be riding the first time after 25 years.
